We are very excited about our "Rays of Sunshine" candle line. Our "Rays of Sunshine" line our candles that we make and we donate proceeds from the sale of each candle to different childrens' charities. We have started with our "Lights for Lauryn" candle and proceeds from the sale of each candle are donated to the Sturge-Weber Foundation. Sturge-Weber Syndrome is a congenital, non-familial disorder of unknown incidence and cause. A congenital facial birthmark and neurological abnormalities characterize this rare syndrome. The most apparent indication of SWS is a facial birth mark or "Port Wine Stain" present at birth and typically involving at least one upper eyelid and the forehead. Seizure activity is the most common early problem, often starting by one year of age. There is no known reason for these "Port Wine Stains". We have a local child in Trenton, Michigan, Lauryn, who was born with Sturge-Weber. She has an older brother and sister that do not have SWS. Lauryn has seizures and mild strokes. Know that proceeds from every candle that you purchase helps the research of this very rare disease. Our candle for Lauryn is called "Lights for Lauryn" and is angel wings scented.
